§ 01Mandate

A research authority for the African child.

Since 2013, AfriChild has built the evidence and knowledge base for the protection, care, and development of children in Uganda and across Africa, working at the intersection of research, policy, and practice.

Vision

A continent where every child, regardless of where they are born, has access to quality care, education, protection, and the opportunity to realise their full potential, sustained by systems built on evidence.

Mission

To generate evidence that informs policy and practice for the well-being of children across Africa — through rigorous research, capacity building, and impactful advocacy that reaches the most vulnerable.
